Balancing Egg Science Experiment
Try this simple eggs-periment (see what we did there?) to learn about salt crystals.
KEEP EGGS-PERIMENTING!
During the spring and fall equinoxes, the sun appears directly overhead at the Equator, and the length of night and day are nearly equal worldwide. Some people believe that the gravitational pull of the sun on these days can help keep an egg standing on its end. This idea is unproven, but it's fun to test. Check your calendar to find out which day in March and September the equinox falls on, then try the experiment without the salt.
