Cat Sits on Owner's Head

    New York, New York
    Most cats would freak out at the crushing crowds and honking horns of New York City. Not Nicholas. This cat can handle the chaos—all while riding atop his owner's head.

    Charlie Perito taught Nicholas the trick when the kitten was three months old, perching the cat on his shoulders. After Nicholas got used to the position—and the clamor of the city—he had no problem sitting on Perito’s head.

    Now two years old, Nicholas will jump straight from the ground onto his crouching owner’s dome. “As soon as we go outside, he expects to go up there,” Perito says.

    The only thing that brings Nicholas down is a rumbling tummy or a bathroom break. Then he just inches toward Perito’s forehead to let him know it’s time for a rest. Unless, of course, there are passing pigeons to paw at!
