Chicken With Chocolate Sauce
Make this spicy chicken dish for lunch or dinner.
YOU WILL NEED
1/2 cup (120 mL) diced onion
1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) olive oil
1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 dash cinnamon
1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon (2.5 milliliters) dried minced garlic
1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed tomato soup
4-ounce can diced, mild green chile peppers (or to taste)
1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) chopped fresh cilantro
With the help of an adult, sauté onion in oil over medium heat until soft. Stir in cocoa, cinnamon, cumin, and garlic. Blend in soup and chili peppers. Cover and simmer for ten minutes. Spoon the sauce over cooked chicken and garnish with cilantro. Serve with sides such as rice, tortillas, tomatoes, and avocados. Makes four servings.
