Meet Thomas Lovejoy

Thomas Lovejoy is a scientist and has been a supporter of the Amazon rain forest for decades. He raised the issue of disappearing biological diversity and voiced concern about the condition of the rain forest—and the need to preserve it. He has worked with the World Wildlife Fund, the Smithsonian Institution, the World Bank, the White House Science Council, the U.S. Secretary of the Interior, and the United Nations Foundation.
