Toy Collection

My step dad is sort of a toy collector. I took loads of pictures of them and here are a couple. He has a collection of cars which are about 30 years old. He has a Porsche, a Ferrari and loads of others. One of the toys he has is an old fashioned Dalek from Doctor Who (one of the first which could actually move!).

Photo: ToysDaleks are mutants featured in the BBC television show from the 1960s (it sort of looks like a robot).

Photo: Dalek and other toysOne of the best toy collectibles, I think, is the wind-up elephant balancing a circus ball. It's strange to think that no matter how many modern and electronic games are made,  there's always one toy from our parents' or grandparents' generation that we enjoy.

Eton Mess

Eton Mess is a very nice dessert. The name comes from Eton which is England's most famous private school and mess I will explain at the end of my blog. To make Eton Mess you will need strawberries or any other berry fruit, cream, and meringues.

The Tube

In London we use loads of public transport like the bus, the Tube, and the train, and loads of overground trains. Normally I use the Tube to go to school or I use the bus. Our parents don't have a car so they also take the Tube to go to work.

Trip to Berlin

Last week I went to Berlin for a christening with my family. We left on Thursday at 3:00 am and arrived at Berlin around 10-ish. My uncle Felix picked us up from the airport and gave us a little guided tour of the city. Because we only had three days in Berlin we wanted to get the most out of the three days as possible.

Devon

This week was a great week. We went to Devon. We started at nine o'clock in the morning, all excited for a long journey.

At noon, we got off the bus for a picnic at the beach. After eating, we went to visit the the National Aquarium (I call it the Seaquarium) and have discovered new kinds of fish. There was even a fish with a horn and piranhas! Leaving the Seaquarium, we went to see some beautiful sand sculptures.

At three o'clock, we left to continue our journey. We passed next to the Cheddar Gorge. There were many people who scaled it. We arrived at the center at 18:30. We ate very well.

The second day, our activities started at 9:30 a.m. with mountain bikes. We separated into three groups for three hours. It was very fun and we learned many new things.

Then, after we ate, we had dressed for surfing (combinations). It was the horror for our surf wear was wet, cold, and covered with sand.. The sea was like a Jacuzzi, but without the bubbles.

The days went by quickly and suddenly the end of the week was there. We were all unhappy to leave the center, but we were all happy to be coming home.

Switzerland

This weekend I went to Switzerland to visit my grandparents and go to my mum's cousin's wedding.

Photo: Lake and towerIt was really fun over there. The food was great, the wedding was great, and it was a shame we had to leave so soon.
