My Eating Habits

So as most of you know different countries have different ways of living, talking, eating. Like for example, in the United Kingdom (UK) you would have breakfast at about 6:00, 7:00, or 8:00 AM. It really would depend on the time you get up in the morning. You would eat cereals English toast with marmite (a typical English spread which is very salty) and butter.

Lunch would be at about 12:00 or 12:30 you would eat baked potatoes (very English) with baked beans or pasta. The English have this culture in which they have a small meal called tea at 5 PM but not every body eats at those times. I don't have tea. I have dinner at 7:00  PM. but at weekends, we have brunch, a mixture between breakfast and lunch, which you would eat it round 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. You would have bacon, eggs, toast, baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, and potatoes.

I used to live In France and we ate differently there. You would have breakfast at the same time that you do in the UK, but you would eat French bread (baguette) with butter and jam.

Lunch is still the same as in the UK, but you would eat chicken, lamb, ratbbit, duck, and pork with a variety of vegetables and frites (French fries). You also would have salad and cheese at the end or the beginning of the meal,

Dinner would be on the table at about 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM. You would eat the soup as the starter of the meal, then the leftover's of lunch, and for dessert crêpes (thin pancakes served with jam and sugar, or nutella chocolate spread).

My dad lives in Spain and I was just visiting him recently! In Spain, breakfast would be at about 10:00 AM or 12:00 PM. You wouldn't eat cereal, but instead you would have toast with tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, and Serrano ham. It is very nice!

Photo: Lunch
plate You would eat lunch at around 3:00 to 4:00 PM. You would eat tapas as a starter. Tapas are a sort of mini portion of a meal . After the Tapas and a drink a typical Spanish drink called Gazpacho. It's a salty, cold soup with tomato juice, garlic, olive oil, cucumber, lemon, and peppers. You would have your meal which can be meat, egg, and potatoes, and then pudding, which is usually all different flavored yummy ice cream. Dinner is served later and around 10:00 PM.

So which meal and country do you guys prefer?

In Singapore everyone is eating half the time so half the population are overweight and one quarter are underweight with eating disorders. I'm lucky enough to be perfectly average :).
