Our English teacher in school told us that we are assigned to write our own imaginary novel about an endangered animal. My friends and I got very excited so we went up to the computer lab and started researching different animals on National Geographic.
Suraya chose to write about a sloth, I couldn't make up my mind between a dart frog or beluga whale. In the end I didn't pick any of them I decided to pick the sand cat and name him Stardust. It is similar to a normal cat however sandy colored with wide spaced ears and sharp claws.
After I was done writing my story, I started on the cover page. It had a drawing of a sand cats face and the word Stardust in top with a tiny paw print in the corner. I couldn't figure out how to do my cover page so I asked my mother's friend Andrea to help me because she is a designer and is very creative. She helped me with the cover page and I typed and colored little sand cat faces. It was great!
I handed it in to my teacher and she liked it. I was very proud to know that I had written it and that it was mine. I hope that I will do another awesome book just like the book, Stardust!
