King Abdullah

I know that it is a very special day in America because today is election day. Actually I am sitting at home on the couch watching the elections right now! Go Obama!!!!!!!

Photo: His Majesty King Abdullah and His Royal Highness Prince HashemHowever here in Jordan, we don't have a President. We a have King and he is amazing! I will tell you all about him. Our King's name is Abdullah Bin Hussein (pictured). He is married to a beautiful woman called Rania. She is our Queen and they have four children. Their first son is named Hussein, he is named after his grandfather King Hussein Bin Talal-King Abdullah's father, who was our wonderful King who sadly passed away in 1999.

And they have two daughters named Iman and Salma, and a three-year-old son named Hashem (pictured).

King Abdullah is from the Hashemite family, the royal family here is called the Hashemite family and they are directly related to the Prophet Mohammad! In fact Jordan's full name is The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Many countries are friendly with Jordan because of all the hard work done by our kings in the past and the present. King Abdullah visits many other countries to improve Jordan, he even visits America and knows George Bush!

King Abdullah really thinks of others and helps many less fortunate children. He and Queen Rania always visit orphanages here in Jordan and give out lots of presents like toys, clothes, and food. He also cares about all the education that children are given in schools and if a school needs help and its children are not learning what they need, some people might realize it and tell him so he can help, and he always does. He is totally awesome!

Hope you get to meet our wonderful King and learn all about him!
