Meeting Lindsey Vonn's Mom!

On the plane today I met Lindsey Vonn's mother, Linda Krohn. Lindsey is an American Olympic skier.  People think Lindsey is going to win lots of Gold medals in the Vancouver Olympics. We were on United Flight 323 from Denver to Vancouver when I met her mom. What a coincidence! So I decided to ask a few questions.

Me: How does it feel to be Lindsay Vonn's mother?
Ms. Krohn: "It's really great.  It would be greater if she would win a gold medal."

Me: What do you like best about being Lindsay's mother?
Ms. Krohn: "I am really proud of her for being such a good person, not just a good skier."

Me: When did she start skiing?
Ms. Krohn: She started skiing when she was three.

I still can't believe Lindsey Vonn started skiing when she was just three years old! That must have been hard. I wonder why she started skiing when she was three.  Did she have natural talent or did she not? Those are some of the questions I'll ask if I ever meet her.

I've been skiing before and it's hard, those athletes must work very hard to be some of the best in the world, isn't that what the Olympics are all about? To find some of the best athletes in the whole world? Anyways, it was a lot of fun talking to Lindsey's mother, I really hope I can talk to some more athletes or relatives of athletes! The plane flight was long and boring except for the fact that Lindsey Vonn's mother was on the plane! (Although we didn't find that out until the end of the plane ride). That's it for today.
