New School

I stayed at my godmother's house on the weekend. She lives in Manly (another beach suburb of Sydney of course!). She has a little wild brush tailed possum living in her roof! She calls him Jack. He is very cute and furry, he looks very cuddly.

I went to the beach with her and I got a little bit sun burnt because in Australia the sun is very hot and you can never completely cover yourself with sun cream. We (my godmother and I) watched lots and lots of episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. After I stayed at my godmother's house I went home and the next day I had my first day at a new school!

I got the new uniform and familiarised myself with the grounds. My dad is going to California tomorrow for a month because he got a job with Google. It will be a bit lonely without him, but I will still have the company of my mum.

Here is a picture of me and him.

Photo: Girl and her dadToday I had a teacher called Miss Fisher. She is going to be my teacher tomorrow too and then I will know who my teacher will be for the rest of the year. I am happy and excited that the summer holidays are over because I get to go to a new school and make new friends.

I never ever went to a new school but I like my school. That's cool that your dad works for google becasue I love google and I use it all the time.

I hope you are enjoying your new school! Also, it is a bit difficult to put sunscreen sometimes! I live in Perth, WA, Australia and our average summer temp. is about 35.9C it is pretty hot, usualy around 40 and I usually get burnt! Hope your having fun down under!
