Christmas Trip to Melbourne

Photo: Ava and Christmas tree

I went to Melbourne to celebrate Christmas. All my family members (from my Dad's side of the family) live there. It takes about ten hours to get there. It can be a very long and boring drive. But I can always find a way to pass the time.

I got the coolest presents! Like:a forensic scientist kit, a globe of the world that has all the animals and main sights on it, a diary that has a lock and key, and much much more. I saw my three-year-old cousin Sophie and had fun decorating the Christmas tree. I saw pretty much all my family members from my Dad's side of the family.

We had a big Christmas lunch at my great grandparents house.

My grandpa made a delicious Christmas pudding from a recipe passe down from his grandmother (my great great grandma!).

On boxing day (the day after Christmas) I saw my friend Stella. She plays piano and flute. Every time we see each other we put up a concert and play our instruments together. I did a concert of Christmas carols and Stella just did what her heart told her to do. I went to my grandma Maggie's friends house. She has two dogs. One is Louie and the other is Bindi. Louie is the mum and Bindi is her daughter. Charlotte also has hens and a cat. When I was in Melbourne I also saw my mum's friend Jasmine. She has just had a baby! She also has a five-year-old boy called Marley, who is a good friend of mine. I am going on a beach caravan trip tomorrow with my other dad (I have two dads). We always go on a caravan trip. It is a family tradition. Two of my aunts and uncles also go and seven of my cousins (I have 17 cousins on that side of my family!).
