RULES FOR MID-SIZE GROUPS (APPROXIMATELY 50 to 99 PARTICIPANTS)
If you have between 50 to 99 people doing jumping jacks, these are the rules you need to follow.

IMPORTANT: All jumping jacks must be done between 3 p.m. ET October 11, 2011, and 3 p.m. ET October 12, 2011. (Times and dates are subject to change; check for updates online. kids.nationalgeographic.com/lets-jump/)

BEFORE THE EVENT
--Make sure you have:
• A location with clearly marked boundaries for doing jumping jacks
• Two Independent Witnesses* to confirm the exact and final number of participants and that all rules were followed (download the required fill-in-the-blank Witness Statement).
• One Timekeeper* with a stopwatch to time the one minute of jumping jacks
• Invited the press! Download the media tips. Download a fill-in-the-blank press release (Word document) or pdf download to send to local media.

* Independent witnesses and timekeepers must be 18 years old or older and should not have any affiliation with the location, host organization, or participants.

DURING THE EVENT
-- All jumping jacks must be done between 3 p.m. ET October 11, 2011, and 3 p.m. ET October 12, 2011. (Times and dates are subject to change; check for updates online. kids.nationalgeographic.com/lets-jump/)
--Each person must do jumping jacks for one full minute, nonstop. Those who do not cannot be counted.
--If your group is holding multiple events during the 24 hours, each participant may jump only once.
--Each participant must be counted in one of the following ways:
    • Clickers: two people with clickers at the entrance
    • Grid-like distribution of participants: Organizers arrange participants in rows or squares that each contain a certain number of people and are counted to obtain a final total.
    • Logbook: Participants print and sign their names; both Independent Witnesses must countersign the completed logbook.
    • Ticket stubs: For attempts with fewer than 1,000 participants only, participants may be counted using ticket stubs collected at the entrance.
    • Turnstiles: Counters on each turnstile record the number of people passing into the attempt area.
--Take lots of videos and photos! Your photo could be published in NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC KIDS or Guinness World Records.
