About Jane Kim Gauger

In my past life, I worked as television news producer, stressed out by editorial meetings and breaking news.  Now I am a happy mother of a nearly three-year-old boy, but I confess to feeling the occasional stress of parenting.  Now that deadlines have been replaced with leisurely days, I have more time to ponder life's great mysteries.  That's totally a joke.  If I manage to put on a bit of lip gloss before leaving the house, it's a good day.

Like many moms, I became an internet junkie because of my insatiable search for information when my son was first born.  I'd look up ailments, conditions and states of being just to make sure I was doing the right thing and to make sure I wasn't alone.  Now that I've relaxed a bit - okay, a lot  -  checking out my favorite sites is a way for me to keep up with what's happening in the world, learn new things (I know how to fix a running toilet, thank you very much) and get a few laughs... hello, Daily Show clips.

My loves include traveling, exploration walks with my toddler and my first cup of morning joe, or as we call it at our house, sweet nectar of the gods.  I live in Portland, Oregon where there are many places to walk and drink good coffee.
