Earth Day is Every Day

Happy Friday and happy Earth Day! Back in 1970, the first Earth Day brought 20 million people across the United States together to promote environmental awareness.

I think it's never too early to care about the planet and preschool is a great time to introduce basic Earth-friendly concepts. Kids have such a curiosity for the world around them so any hands on learning makes a big impact. Whether you have your child help you separate the recycling or you talk about why you keep the family dog on a leash in an environmentally sensitive area, I think parents can talk about ways to keep our planet healthy without being heavy-handed or going over little ones' heads.

What are things you do with your children to make every day Earth Day?
