It may seem like winter
won't loosen its grip where you live, but no matter what the weather is like,
we are getting closer to spring. Hooray! We've started planning our
vegetable garden early this year by planting seeds indoors. In fact, Erik
bought a heating mat for our seed trays to help them germinate.
Not all gardeners are sold on heating mats but Erik is always game for a new experiment. I just want to have success with the seeds so I can learn something new. Planting seeds is a great way to get kids interested in gardening. Hopefully, we'll have carrot and pea seedlings ready to plant in the ground in about six weeks.
You can start growing seeds indoors easily without a heating mat. Just do your homework on the best vegetables and flowers to grow in your region.

I am growing my first TickleMe Plant from seeds!!
At first my friends thought that it was some sort of magic trick, when they saw the leaves of the TickleMe Plant start moving and then suddenly close up when I tickled it!! Of course now they are starting to grow their own. I guess every one will have one soon but they know I discovered it first on line. Just search TickleMe Plant. The TickleMe Plant is one weird plant that was easy to grow in even in winter in the TickleMe Plant Greenhouse. I did it without a heating mat but they say to keep the temperature above 70 degrees as it is a tropical plant. Way Cool!
