And speaking about eating, there was a pig at the farm where we stayed that ate all of our food scraps. There were also goats on the farm that really liked our leftover toast. During our stay, they were shearing the sheep, which means they were shaving them so they could sell the wool.
The sheep are much cuter when they are all fuzzy, but it was still fun to watch them get sheared. This farm also had chickens, llamas, horses, and a couple of cute dogs that we played with.
Our cottage was in a town called Nelson and we had lots to do there. One day, we went four-wheeling on ATVs, which is short for all-terrain vehicles. I was sitting on the back of my Dad's four-wheeler. One of the first things we did was ride through a stream.

We went up really steep hills and when we got to the top, we went on
this thing call a Skywire. We all got strapped into chairs and then
were zipped above the forest on a wire at almost 60 miles per hour for
about a mile! When we got to the end, we came back going backwards. It
was really fun.We also went on a boat to Abel Tasman National Park and we had a really great day there. My favorite part was kayaking because seals came down off the rocks and swam beside us. We also got to go fishing. We used bread as bait, which the fish really liked. I caught one small fish and one big fish, but I let them both go.
We also went to a cool museum called WOW! This costume was pretty cool. It looked like a huge butterfly.
We loved New Zealand so much!

Hi Stephan, Deb~la here love the updates. The ATV looks sooooo big. I bet you loved screaming through the stream .. did you get completely wet???
It has gotten cold, rainy and damp here. Looks like you continue to enjoy terrific weather. AND living in a house for a bit, very nice.
Take care, until the next time, Deb~la
Merry Christmas! Where are you????
If you have seen any news you will know that the US is having terrible snow storms on both the east and west coast. Lots and lots of folks are stranded in airports and probably will not arrive at their destination for the holidays, sad.
I trust you are enjoying sunshine! Deb~la
