Hello everybody. We saw elephants five out of 16 days while we were in Thailand. The theme of Thailand was elephants ... elephants, elephants, elephants! 1. We saw elephants for the first time at FantaSea, which is a theme park about Thailand. We took a ride on a big elephant. Then, we saw a spectacular show with lots of elephants in it. The elephants were my favorite part of the show.2. The second time was at a nice hotel called Marina Phuket. A small, three-year-old elephant came in during the mornings. He was so cute! Tyler and I got to feed him little bananas. We also took rides on him. The trainer made the elephant bend his leg so I could hop on and sit on his neck. The elephant's name was Nimone and he was our favorite.3. The next time we saw elephants was on Halloween, when we got soaked. I told you about that in my last blog.4. My family and I went to the Thailand Elephant Conservation Center, where they train elephants and teach people about elephants. We saw a show about how they used elephants for pulling logs in the forest. That is also where we got a picture of an elephant mommy and baby. The really cool thing about the picture is that it was painted by an elephant and we watched her do it! The artist was a really cute four-year-old elephant. We thought she was the cutest elephant there.

5. The last time we saw elephants was at the Sampran Elephant Grounds & Zoo. We learned that Thailand used elephants to fight in battles. There was also an elephant soccer game and the elephants were kicking the ball in the goal with their huge feet. They cheered by swinging their trunks around and squeaking. After the show, we saw a one-month-old baby with its mom. The baby thought everything was food, and tried to eat my camera. I loved the baby.
So, that's my elephants, elephants, elephants blog!

STEFAN!!!!! Dude happy belated birthday! Tried to find a way to wish you an awesome b-day and this is definitely the best way. I hope you had a blast. I'm really jealous of all the things you have done already. Surfing in Hawaii, Playing life-size foosball(you know I would totally rule at that), and hanging out with elephants. Keep up your surfing skills for when you make it to Brazil! When you have a chance give your cousin a call. Do you guys have Skype?
Your big cuz,
Ciaran
Stephan ... LOVED the elephants playing soccer, what a riot. Glad I can log on and see what you are up to. take care, Deb~la.
i so envy u guys i so want to go there sometime.
Hey Stefan!
It sounds like you are seeing lots of elephants! I have also seen a lot of elephants in India. Here are my favorites:
1. Playing Elephant Polo - it was me and my friend Indrajit versus my mom and dad.
2. Riding elephants up a mountain to see the Amber Fort.
3. Seeing a 2 month old baby elephant at the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. His mom is used by the forest guides to find tigers. I saw the cutest tiger cub at the park!
I also like Ganesh - he is everywhere in India and is the "remover of all obstacles". I like that part about him!
Can't wait to hear about New Zealand! We are going to Nepal in a few days and I think we will see more elephants there.
Bye for now!
Zola
now that is something that you never see at the zoo. Elephants that can do tricks!!!
That is the most amazing thing in the world. I was first scarred to ride an elephant due to the fact that it was huge and also had big feet that could squish you and finally it weighed 16 tons. Now though I ride them all the time at amusement parks!!! They are really fun because they are just like gentle giants. Finally I love how the elephants can paint a picture of other elephants, play soccer, and know when they score a goal… this must have been really amusing and entertaining!!!
