Wrangling Up Lots of Fun in Wyoming

Hi, it's Tyler from Wyoming. The first place we went was Jackson Hole. Jackson Hole is home of the Grand Teton mountains, so we got to do a lot of hiking in the hills surrounding them. We also saw some wildlife there, including buffalo, bald eagles and moose.

When we saw the moose, it was grazing on some marsh grass on the side of a lake and when it finished eating, it walked just a few feet away from me.
Also, there's a town called Jackson that has antler arches, which are huge arches made of elk antlers found in the winter when they shed them.

antler-arch-550.jpgThe next day we drove over to a place called 7D Ranch, which is a working cattle ranch that allows visitors to stay for a week. When we got there we went to our cabin to settle in. I decided to look around a little and was relieved to find out that I had my own bed.  The best part about all of this is that we spent it with our family friends who have three kids -- Ben, Nicole and Anna. It was really nice to have other kids around.

Another cool thing about the ranch is the fact that you get your own horse to ride during the week you're there. My horse's name was Blue and he was white with brown spots. Speaking of horses, a very popular job at the ranch is wrangling, which is when people bring the horses out to graze. It is pretty cool to watch too (sorry guys, no audio).

One more thing that you might want to know is that we are now one month into our trip around the world. That means we are 1/12th done. I've determined that this is going to be the fastest year (at least for me) ever. I guess that's just about it for now ...

'Till next time

Hey Ty,
Just dropping in to say hi, we've seen so much since you guys have left! A Bison walked right in front of our car the other day, and we saw mud volcanos. And, you know the french group from 7D, we saw them again along the road while stopping to look at elk.
I'll keep posting comments,
