Relaxing and More on Lake Michigan

Hello people of the ever-growing internet. We just arrived in Chicago after a seven-hour car ride from northern Michigan. After our 15-hour car ride from Quebec to Michigan, seven hours is nothing!

We spent four days on Lake Michigan relaxing in a house that belongs to one of my Dad's friends (thanks Karen & David!). The house is shaped like the letter "A" and it is in a ski village called Nub's Nob. It was nice to have a house to stay in and eat home-cooked meals. But believe me, relaxing was not the only thing we did there.

Here's me at Petoskey State Park:

There is a beach on Lake Michigan (which by the way has the most sand dunes of any lake shore), which was located about five minutes away from us. We went there two days there. Also not that far away from us, was the town of Harbor Springs, which had a fudge shop where they made many different types of unique fudge like Twix, Kit Kat, and turtle fudge (it's not made out of turtle, don't worry ... it's nuts, caramel and chocolate).

On the third day, we decided to go out on a boat and fish. We didn't catch anything. When we got back to the marina they said we could have the boat for another hour, but after a few minutes, the motor crashed and we had to get pulled back by another boat. We even had to paddle a little (a word of advice for all you little ones, those paddles they put in motorboats are not just to make them look cool).

After boating we went to see Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which was really good ... I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars (Stefan gave it 5 stars).

So that just about wraps up this blog.

'Till next time, when I tell you all about Chicago!
