Ask for permission before using the microwave.
YOU WILL NEED
- 1 cup (1/2 pint) of chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) of vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons (45 milliliters) of butter
- 2 cups (1 pint) of crisp rice cereal
- Microwave-safe bowl
- Waxed paper
- Baking sheet or plate lined with waxed paper
HERE'S HOW
1. Measure 1 cup (1/2 pint) of chocolate chips, 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) of vanilla extract, and 3 tablespoons (45 milliliters) of butter into a microwave-safe bowl.
2. Loosely cover the bowl with waxed paper and heat at defrost setting in the microwave oven until mixture is melted (about three minutes).
3. Stir until smooth. Then add 2 cups (1 pint) of crisp rice cereal.
4. Drop glops onto a baking sheet or plate lined with wax paper and allow to cool. Then sample the sweet treat.
