  1. Find a picture of the real Stonehenge. You can find one online or at your local library. (See Stonehenge in the United Kingdom People & Places feature, or ask a parent or adult to help you find one.)

  2. Draw out a circle on a flat piece of paper, or outside on a flat surface with sidewalk chalk so you know how big (or small) you’ll want to make your model.

  3. Start building! There’s no right or wrong – your version of Stonehenge can be as crazy as you want. You can stack multi-colored bricks on top of one another and put them in crazy patterns! Or don’t use LEGO bricks at all – you can create your Stonehenge out of any LEGO element - minifigures, DUPLO bricks, even TECHNIC -  whatever you can imagine you can build!

  4. Be creative and have fun!! Use your imagination! When building Stongehenge you can try making your “stones” from wild colors or as goofy structures rather than in block shapes. If you don't have LEGO bricks, use other bricks.

  5. Once it’s built have fun with it!  After I built my model I pretended it was a playing field for a game that combined basketball and croquet.  There were players with blue-painted face, carrying weird clubs.  There were even cheerleaders!

Happy Building!
